The Scarsdale diet originated in the U.S. a few decades ago. It was presented as the ideal solution to obtain a rapid weight loss (almost 500gr. per day) so as to be defined as a “miraculous diet”. However its inventor was Herman Tornower and promised that with it it was possible to lose almost 500 gr. per day. So he argued that it was possible to lose weight quickly, almost 500gr. per day, with a drastic reduction in carbohydrate intake. Independent of calorie intake which could not undergo proportional reductions, ie “not to reduce calories excessively but to reduce carbohydrates a lot”.
So ot claims that fats should also be reduced (the reduction, however, must not be as drastic as that of carbohydrates). In principle it is part of the “low carb” diets which therefore base their results on a ketogenic effec. It is on the production of ketone bodies which have a slight toxic effect if produced for short periods but also anoresizing effects.
Despite what the defenders of this diet claim with it, the yo-yo effect would be encountered, that is, a rapid recovery of the lost weight. It is considered one of the last minute diets not to be followed for more than 1 or 2 weeks. During this period you can reduce your weight of almost 500gr. per day.
Obviously, in order for it to take effect and generate lasting benefits, it is necessary precise patterns. In particular, another very important thing, is to not give in to the temptation to skip meals. Therefore the breakfast, lunch and dinner sequence must be absolutely respected avoiding mid-morning “snacks” and mid afternoon. Then it seems superfluous to add that if you want to lose weight for aesthetic and health reasons you have to choose healthy foods. So junk foods must be abolished in this diet. In fact they are always rich in toxins, free radicals, unsaturated fats and often simple sugars (therefore high glycemic index).
Another important thing is that carbohydrates must not represent, during the period of application of the diet, a majority portion. Therefore reduce both simple carbohydrates such as sugars and complex carbohydrates such as bread and pasta. Obviously you need to reduce fat by choosing lean foods so to reduce calories to lose almost 500gr. per day. Like any diet it is recommended to increase water consumption.

It aims to make the subject lose weight not only by making him eat less. But, above all, by making him burn more energy by acting on the metabolism. VIGOR DIET PLAN
This dietary regime should be adopted from Monday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday I recommend a similar variety of foods with a 25% increase in caloric intake. Here is a valid Vigor diet plan: MON – FRI: morning — – 300gr. SOY MILK; – 50gr. DI NOCI; – 2 SPOONS OF HONEY; spuintino —- 80gr. SOYA YOGURT; -1 APPLE; lunch —– 300gr. OF BIO SOY HAMBURGER (see recipe in the blog), 40gr. WHOLEMEAL BREAD, 150gr. STRAWBERRIES; dinner —— 100gr. SOY BEANS seasoned with garlic, parsley, extra virgin olive oil, 100gr. Diced TOFU WITH a side dish of green salad topped with extra virgin olive oil and soy sauce.
SAT – SUN: THE DIET COMPOSITION SHOULD BE SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE OTHER DAYS OF THE WEEK. WITH THE ONLY VARIANT THAT I WOULD INCREASE THE CALORIAL SUPPORT OF 25%. BOTH LUNCH AND DINNER WITH AN INCREASE OF 20% OF THE FRUIT QUANTITY.
This diet can be adopted without problems by anyone without serious blood sugar problems or some nutritional dysfunction. In individuals not affected by these problems it would represent a very healthy diet. In fact it would allow to keep blood sugar and values such as cholesterol and triglycerides under control.
LOSE WEIGHT WITH SOYA
Soy is a legume that has now become widespread among those who are passionate about healthy eating. And also those who are against the use of animals for food purposes.
